Knife Sharpening

Regular sharpening of knives and tools is an important aspect of maintenance, safe use, and effectiveness. We make it easy and fast to have your knives and tools professionally sharpened. We sharpen by hand using whetstones for the absolute best edge on all knives including high hardness European and Japanese steels. This service provides a high degree of polish and a razor sharp edge.

We offer Pro or Whetstone Sharpening Service for higher end knives- $2.00-$2.50/Inch. Pro sharpening, on our WickedEdge system, for high quality German steels is $2.00 per inch. Whetstone sharpening for Western or Japanese knives is $2.50/inch. These services are specifically for high quality knifes and steels. We can sharpen knives up to 65 HRC.We also offer Quick-Sharpening service specifically for commercial kitchen knives and knives made of softer steels. This is a fast, affordable option for customers who need a sharp edge, for their less expensive cutlery, but do not require a highly polished edge. Knives up to ^7" are $6/each and knives 7"+ are $8/each.

Small pocket knives are pro sharpened for a flat fee of  $10.00 that includes cleaning without disassembly.

We can restore a flawless edge for your chisels, planes, flat bars, scrapers, scissors and other tools. After sharpening, your tools will glide smoothly through cuts and woodworking chisels and planes will be sharp enough to shave with (please don't actually do this). We won't settle for less than a perfect edge and have the skills and tools to apply correct edge to your tool.

Scissors, Barber and Beauty Shear, Clipper Sharpening
 

We offer sharpening for convex, beveled, and semi convex shears for Stylists, Barbers and Groomers. We offer mobile or drop off service and can sharpen, repair and maintain your shears. Our sharpeners can travel to your place of business and sharpen your grooming tools while you work or you can drop off your tools for next day service. Our equipment is very quiet and all we would need is access to an electrical outlet and a small amount of space to sharpen at your location. We can also sharpen your clipper blades. Sharpening service includes sharpening, cleaning, spring tensioning, and reassembly. Clipper sharpening is a drop-off service only.

Drop off Pricing for Convex beauty shears start at $25.00/pair, beveled beauty shears start at $20.00/pair. Mobile pricing is $25 for bevel edge and $30 for convex. Our mobile service includes sharpening in your salon or shop, you can watch the entire process and test your shears before we leave. We ask your group to have 6 pairs minimum. Clipper blades range from $8-$11/set. 

Sharpeners take great care to match the correct angle and blade radius. We can sharpen shears up to 14" long, curved shears, and thinners. We can also fix ride line issues, alignment problems and adjust your shears to cut correctly without pushing or pulling hair.

Other industrial, sewing, or household use scissors start at $8.00/pair. Dressmakers shears and specialty duckbill or pinking shears are no problem. We can also sharpen your surgical tools for less than the cost of replacement. Most surgical tool sharpening starts at $4/each.

Garden and Lawn Tools
 

We can restore the working edge on your garden shears, pruners, axes, chainsaws, and machetes and lawnmowers. A sharp edge makes consistent cuts with minimal effort, reducing the chance of mistakes and injury. Clean cuts also help maintain healthy growth for trees and plants and help prevent disease. Garden tools and lawnmower blades are $1.00/Inch. Walk behind lawnmower blades are typically $10.00-$15.00. Keep in mind that items like snips or hedge shears have two blades that are sharpened separately.

For Lawn professionals we can exchange your mower blades all season long so you're never without sharp blades. We can regrind a sharp, but long lasting edge, much sharper than from the factory, that slices effortlessly through your grass. 

We can also adjust and sharpen your reel mowers. With proper lapping to sharpen the blades and precise adjustment, your reel mower can be back in top shape. Reel mowers are $25/each and service includes backlap sharpening and correct blade adjustment.

Chainsaws, pole saws, hedge trimmers and other tools with a bar or chain can be sharpened for $1.25/Inch of bar. For example a chainsaw with a 16" bar would be $20.00 and power hedge trimmer with a 24" bar would $30.00. 

Bring us just the blade or the mower itself for sharpening and re-balancing. Minor maintenance services also available upon request.
 

In addition, Chisels, woodworking plane irons and other small items are $8.00 each for sharpening.

Restaurant Services
 

We can deliver a new set of sharpened knives directly to your kitchen staff at your restaurant weekly or biweekly. You’ll receive regular, scheduled sharpening for your knives and other edged kitchen utensils. Depending on your needs, we’ll visit your restaurant regularly and exchange a set of your dull knives with a matching set of expertly sharpened knives. With our exchange program you’ll always have sharp knives in the kitchen or bar. Pricing of exchange knives is per each, call to inquire.

We can also pickup, sharpen, and deliver your kitchen’s knives if your establishment has specialty items. Pickup and drop off can be arranged around your establishment’s schedule. Pricing varies from the exchange program, call to inquire.

Paper Cutters, Commercial Blades, Industrial Tools, Swords

If you have a large paper cutter, guillotine style cutter blade or other commercial cutter, give us a call for a full quote for sharpening. We're focused on limiting your downtime and getting you the best possible edge. Standard desktop style paper cutters start at $2/inch of blade sharpened. We have the ability to sharpen both the cutting knife and square-up the flat plate on the cutting bed. Note that both items are priced separately. Guillotine style cutters are no problem and we can even sharpen away large chips in the cutting edge. Disassembly and reassembly can be done upon request but is often priced as an additional service. Pricing varies on condition of blade and length.

We can provide regular service for your industrial use scissors or cutting instruments for a wide range of manufacturing uses. We have the experience to sharpen your scissors/tools to cut tough fabrics and fiber.

Swords of any style length and use are priced by the inch. We can sharpen your military officer swords, katanas, or replicas for show or competition. We can even put an edge on your prop swords for a photo shoot or cosplay. Pricing varies based on condition and length of the edge. Resharpening starts at $2/inch and new sharpening with swords dull from the factory are up to $5/inch.

Restoration/Repair

Some of our knives and tools spend time in less than ideal environments. Water, dirt, acids from food, and metal rarely mix and even the best quality steel can rust. Rust is not only unsightly, but can effect the safe use of knives and tools. We can perform rust removal, restoration, and repair your knives and tools. We can re-profile your knife or tool, matching the factory profile as if the damage never happened. We consider a repair to be a chip deeper than 1mm or a bent or broken tip. A repair is a $5.00 fee in addition to sharpening.

Ask us for a quote to have serious rust or corrosion stains removed from your antiques or your regularly used knives and tools. We can free seized bolts or adjustment screws that prevent the proper use of your tools. At this time, restoration pricing varies and is by estimate only.
